Hello and welcome! Sheridan Butler
Being born and raised in Austin, I’ve met a wide variety of people living in this great city.
I believe It’s important for the people who are moving here from other states, cities, and countries, to learn about those who have helped shape Austin into the city it is today.
I left the great state of Texas for 4 years to attend the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) where I studied broadcast journalism with a minor in studio art/photography. Every time I came home to visit, I noticed the vastly growing Austin skyline. (According to “politifacttexas” 110 people move to Austin a day). In my spare time, I enjoy giving back to the Austin community. You’ll see everyone featured on this site gives back to the community in their own way. I feel it’s important for the new population to know about the history and the people who are really making a difference in ATX!
